March 2022 the Hit the Beat Academy was launched. We started with a 2-day train the trainer workshop for 12 young artists and social entrepreneurs from Namibia and Germany. The training was followed by a 3-day project for 35 Hospitality & Horticulture trainees of the Wolwedans Desert Academy. The venue was the stunning Wolwedans Lodge, situated in the Namib Rand Nature Reserve, Namibia. In the spirit of cultural diversity and togetherness, we captured the treasures and resources of Namibia through music, dance, poetry, and visual arts, creating awareness towards the surroundings of nature as well as strengthening courage, creativity, self-value, and tolerance in the team.
